Sharing some Investing and Economic insights:

  • With the dissolution of Parliament having been confirmed, paving the way for the much-anticipated 15th General Election (GE15), all eyes are now on Bursa Malaysia.
    • Some analysts expect knee-jerk reactions from the market in the short term – maybe this week – but said the dissolution of Parliament yesterday was good to remove political uncertainty investors may have had.
    • While political uncertainty could continue at least until the election itself has been completed, this could represent an opportunity to look at undervalued stocks in sectors such as construction, oil & gas, plantation, property and transportation.
  • Geopolitical tensions added to the uncertainty as markets waited to see how Russia might respond to the blast that hit Russia’s only bridge to Crimea in the southern Ukraine.
    • Russia has used the bridge to move military equipment and people from Russia to battlefields in southern Ukraine.
  • Raiz is about helping you save & invest more – being able to save 5% of your salary is better than earning 5% return. Having a disciplined savings habit can help improve your financial position quicker (than spending time choosing the best fund manager).
