1. You must be rich to start investing
This is not true!
A lot of us think that we need to be rich to invest. Facts: You don’t need millions to start investing. Especially not now given the availability of various platforms that allow you to invest with relatively small amounts.
Take Raiz for example, you can invest as little as your spare change with us. Yes, you heard that right – you can even invest using your spare change!
2. You’re too young invest
No one is too young to invest. When it comes to investing, starting early in fact is the best! The earlier you get in, the higher likelihood you will make a better profit in the long-run. Long-term investment strategies tend to be less volatile and may help build your wealth through the effect of compounding.
3. Too risky for young people
We’re pretty sure the thought of losing your hard-earned money is daunting! Sure, there is always risks attached to any type of investment, no matter how safe we deem it to be. However, there are low-risk investments that you can start with especially if you’re new to investing. Try to understand the risks involved and ensure that the risks you’re taking are in accordance to your risk appetite. You can also reach out to reliable financial advisors to help you plan your investment portfolio.
And don’t forget, if an “investment” guarantees you return over a short time, or sounds too good to be true, it is most likely a scam! Don’t be fooled. The most important thing is to ensure that the company is registered and licensed under the Securities Commission of Malaysia.
